Dr. Nazzaro believes his role is to educate those in his care without the medical jargon — so they can make the best decisions possible.
Dr. William Nazzaro is a Board Certified Cardiologist. He graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, and received his D.O. from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine – Bradenton Campus.
He has been in Michigan since 2008, moving here for medical training and completing both his residency and fellowship through the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine affiliated program at Garden City Hospital. Dr. Nazzaro is also certified in Nuclear Cardiology.
His love of cardiology began as a Critical Care EMT in his hometown and guided his decision to attend medical school. He was recognized by the American College of Osteopathic Internists with the "Humanism and Excellence in Teaching" award in 2011.
He enjoys teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and is adjunct faculty with Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. His clinical interests include coronary artery disease, arrhythmia, and heart failure. His interests outside of medicine change frequently and are too numerous to list.
